We welcome you to St. Walter School!

Here at St. Walter, we combine deep-rooted tradition with current best practices. We believe in educating students based on growth and success. Our students become life-long learners, effective communicators, and problem solvers. Learning, teaching, and leading at St. Walter is a true joy and a blessing for us as educators!

St. Walter School opened in the fall of 1952 with an enrollment of 84 students. In our two-room school, nuns from Glen Ellyn traveled from their convent to teach these students in grades one through eight. As St. Walter School continued to grow, classrooms were added. In September of 1959, our main school building was opened with an enrollment of over 430 students.

Today St. Walter School has over 415 students in preschool through grade eight. We dedicate ourselves to faith, family, and excellent education for each and every child. We have class offerings for students in 3-year-old Preschool through 8th grade.
