The purpose of the St. Walter School Annual Fund campaign is to support the school's growth. Funding raised through the Annual Fund campaign covers the highest priorities of our school while providing funds to enable St. Walter School to continue to offer excellence in Catholic education.

Your financial support will enhance our educational program through tuition assistance, endowment growth, and our Teacher Retention Fund.

The St. Walter School Board established the Endowment Fund in 1993 as a means to provide financial assistance to the school.

As the endowment fund grows, investment income generated by the fund will become a significant source of school funding and will be utilized in areas such as capital improvement, tuition assistance, and curriculum support.

The Endowment Fund ensures that St. Walter School will continue to provide excellence in programming and development for future generations while keeping tuition costs as reasonable as possible.

The Endowment Fund is supported annually through our Golden Raffle, Daddy Daughter Dance and/or Endowment Gala.

The United Way Campaign Giving Programs are now underway in the Chicagoland area.

Since SWS is a nonprofit - 501 (c)(3) agency, you may be able to designate the school as the recipient of your charitable contribution.

Annual Appeal

Corporate matching gifts to parish grade schools are accepted for the Diocesan Annual Appeal. Not only will you be able to double your support, but your children will directly benefit from your gift.

In addition, St. Walter Parish receives credit for your donation enabling the parish’s Diocesan Appeal goal to be met. It’s a win, win situation for everyone!

• How to process your Diocesan Appeal gift as a matching gift.
• Pick up a matching gift form at your company’s personnel office.
• Complete the form as instructed.
• Make your check payable to St. Walter School, not the parish or to the Diocesan Appeal.
• Place your completed matching gift form, along with your check, in the envelope that your received at Mass or that was mailed to you from the Diocesan Appeal office. At your earliest possible convenience, drop it in the collection basket at any of the Masses or mail it to the Diocesan Appeal office.
• Upon receipt of your donation, the Diocesan Appeal office will:
  • Record your family’s donation.
  • Credit St. Walter Parish with your donation enabling them to meet their Diocesan Appeal goal.
  • Forward your check to St. Walter School.
  • Forward you company’s matching gift to St. Walter School as soon as it is received.
